Achievement Award from Minister of Internal Affairs and
Communications for 4X4 MIMO Deployment in Japan

San Jose, CA– June 29, 2016 – GCT® Semiconductor, a leading designer and supplier of advanced 4G mobile semiconductor solutions, was recently recognized by the Japanese Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications for its efforts in deploying the world’s first 4X4 MIMO service throughout Japan. GCT’s Co-Founder and Board Member Kyeongho “KH” Lee received an Achievement Award at a ceremony on June 27 in Tokyo, along with several partner companies that made up the 4X4 MIMO development team, including UQ Communications Inc., Samsung Electronics Japan, Ericsson Japan K.K. and NEC Platforms, Ltd.

The development team’s close collaboration enabled the 220Mbps “double speed” service that was launched in Japan in early 2015.
