The GDM5302 is part of GCT's wireless multimedia processor (WMP) family. The GDM5302 enables a range of SOC integrating wireless connectivity with GCT's world-class, proprietary, high performance 32-bit embedded processor plus a comprehensive collection of peripherals for data connectivity, storage and multimedia interfacing.

With companion ICs such as the GDM5103 WLAN controller IC and the GRF5101 WLAN CMOS transceiver, the GDM5302 can be readily be adoapted to provide access to WLAN networks with <11Mbps data rate.

The on-chip 32-bit embedded processor (PiCOII-DSP) is powerful enough to handle both wireless network access and DSP-enabled multimedia processing, such as digital audio decoding. To allow large memory transactions (generally required in multimedia applications) the GDM5302 incorporates GCT's proprietary, high speed internal memory bus (IMB), to provide full-speed SDRAM access with very low-latency.
