GCT Semiconductor Announces the Industry's First Single-Chip Solution Supporting Both Mobile WiMAX IEEE 802.16e WAVE 2 and WiFi 802.11 b/g.

GCT's Highly Integrated Single-Chip, Demonstrated at CTIA in Las Vegas, April 1-3, Provides a Total Solution for Wireless Terminal Applications Requiring Dual Connectivity of Mobile WiMAX and WiFi

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GCT Semiconductor, a leading supplier of Mobile WiMAX solutions to the global market, today announced the world's first highly integrated single-chip solution, GDM7215, supporting mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e WAVE 2) and WiFi (802.11b/g). GDM7215 implements mobile WiMAX RF/MAC/PHY and WiFi RF/MAC/PHY on a monolithic die. This solution is being demonstrated on an Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) with WiMAX and WiFi connectivity during the CTIA wireless event at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in GCT's meeting room MR-789 in Hall C5. Samples are now being provided to alpha customers and production will begin in the third quarter of this year.

10/23/07 - GCT Semiconductor announced it validated its current WiMAX chipsets product portfolio on Windows Vista. Windows Vista WHQL signed drivers are ready for all current GCT WiMAX chipsets. In addition, all future GCT WiMAX chipsets will ship ready for Windows Vista.

Single-Chip CMOS RF Transceiver For CDMA2000 Mobile Handset Applications Introduced

10/10/2007 San Jose, CA -- GCT Semiconductor, Inc. launched a highly integrated RF transceiver for CDMA2000 applications. The new GRF6401 includes a fully integrated receiver and transmitter for 800 MHz cellular band operation. It also includes programmable output power circuitry and a sigma-delta fractional-N frequency synthesizer with VCO and loop filters. GCT¡¯s GRF6401 is specifically designed to interface with VIA Telecom¡¯s cdma2000 CBP baseband family of products.

San Jose, Calif.--GCT Semiconductor has started to sample a Mobile WiMAX 2.5-GHz Wave 2 single chip, the GDM7205, which integrates RF, MAC and PHY, all into one monolithic die.

The GDM7205 is compliant with WiMAX Forum standards and is designed to support portable, nomadic and fixed applications. Based on GCT's CMOS RF technologies, GDM7205 implements MIMO, and all PHY and MAC features required for WiMAX Forum Wave 2 Certification.
