T-DMB single-chip highly integrated
solutions
T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) is one of the mobile TV standards that originated from the incumbent DAB standard (Eureka147). Currently, T-DMB is under deployment or trial service in Korea, China, and Europe. Korea launched T-DMB service in 2005. The main applications include wireless handsets, notebook PCs, and car-navigation.
GDM7004
GCT's GDM7004, a single-chip optimized for T-DMB service, uniquely integrates the following three functions: RF, channel decoder, and memory. Through this high level of integration, GDM7004 offers an extremely small form factor and low power consumption.
Since T-DMB service is mainly deployed in two operating bands - Band III and L-Band - GDM7004 is able to offer a flexible RF receiver path for both bands. In addition, the external memory is not required for T-DMB functionality.
