GDM7205 represents the industry's first mobile WiMAX 2.5 GHz Wave 2 single-chip, which integrates RF, MAC and PHY, all into one monolithic die. GDM7205 is compliant with WiMAX Forum standards and is designed to support portable, nomadic and fixed applications.

Based on GCT's industry-proven CMOS RF technologies, GDM7205 implements MIMO, and all PHY and MAC features required for WiMAX ForumTM Wave 2 Certification. This compact solution, offers a highly integrated, low-power transceiver which minimizes the number of external RF front-end components. It also includes a mobile WiMAX baseband with high performance dual-processors, and an impressive array of peripherals for connectivity.

GDM7213 represents the industry's first mobile WiMAX 3.5 GHz Wave 2 single-chip, which includes RF, MAC and PHY, all into one monolithic integrated circuit. GCT continues to build on its leadership position in WiMAX connectivity with this new addition to its state-of-the-art WiMAX product portfolio.

Highly integrated 4G WiMAX single-chip optimized for smartphones

GDM7221 offers improved WiMAX modem performance and record low power consumption leveraging the features and benefits of GCT's highly integrated market-proven WiMAX single-chips. With improved WiMAX modem performance beyond HARQ category 6, this solution is ideally optimized to meet the demands of WiMAX smartphones. GDM7221 integrates dual band RF and baseband into one monolithic 65 nm die, in a compact package size.

Redefining "Low Power Consumption"

With its unique architecture, GDM7221 allows for the lowest power consumption available on the market today. GDM7221 has a proven measured "Idle-Mode" power consumption of less than 0.9 mW which will extend WiMAX smartphones' battery lives significantly. It offers advanced WiMAX modem performance which can simultaneously support over 40 Mbps on the downlink, and over 9 Mbps on the uplink. GDM7221 combines 2GHz and 3GHz WiMAX frequency bands. This new single-chip is designed to satisfy the high processing demands of multimedia data processing, video, wireless connectivity and to increase battery life for longest run time.
