GDM7215 represents the world's first highly integrated single-chip solution supporting mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e WAVE 2) and WiFi (802.11b/g).

This solution implements mobile WiMAX RF/MAC/PHY and WiFi RF/MAC/PHY on a monolithic die.

GDM7215 supports multimode wireless connectivity with its on-chip RF transceivers, allowing seamless broadband and local wireless roaming.

Based on GCT's industry-proven CMOS RF technology, GDM7215 integrates WiMAX and WiFi radios, a high performance ARM9 RISC processor along with a 32-bit uniscalar DSP, and a full range of advanced interfaces for network, storage, and audio/visual device applications.

GDM7215 is pin-compatible, allowing customers to reuse system design and printed circuit board layout.

GDM7213 represents the industry's first mobile WiMAX 3.5 GHz Wave 2 single-chip, which includes RF, MAC and PHY, all into one monolithic integrated circuit. GCT continues to build on its leadership position in WiMAX connectivity with this new addition to its state-of-the-art WiMAX product portfolio.

It also includes a mobile WiMAX baseband with high performance dual-processors, and an impressive array of peripherals for connectivity.

GDM7213 complies with IEEE 802.16e mobile WiMAX and WiMAX Forum wave 2 certification requirements, and supports seamless handover across different cell sectors.
